This is the first episode made with my new Hackintosh.  Filmed primarily at Area 51, there are also shots from Breckenridge and Vail Pass.  Thanks to Pat for the song choice.  Thanks to everyone who filmed and rode for the episode.  (See credits)

I did a lot of the filming while recovering from my broken pelvis.  The bone is now fully healed and although I’m still in pain, I’m doing great.  I’ve been skiing park everyday and getting a lot of shots.  The next episode will document my comeback.

Hope you enjoyed the episode.  I plan to start work on editing Episode 3 this week.

Teddy and the new puppies. They were born to Sloan dog in early December and just recently opened their eyes.  Soon they will be walking.

My cats, Stumpy (black) and Moby (fat).  Stumpy is a rare breed of Siamese known as Stumpificus Magnificus.  Moby is Siamesus Faticus.

Early season has not treated the LDL crew too well this year. First, Nadia Gonzales was injured on Thanksgiving. Quoting from her Facebook:

“Thanks everybody, I am extremely disappointed that I have been dealt this card. I posted an edit from November on my wall. The last shot of the right 360 is when I tore my ACL and compress fractured my tib/fib plateau. I will be very focused on rehabbing and coming back stronger. I plain to remain in summit county because I have already paid rent through April.”

We are all very sad for Nadia and wish her the best and a speedy recovery.

Not too long after Nadia’s injury, Birri (that’s me) suffered a broken pelvis hitting this urban quad kink unnatural.

That’s Chace in the second shot of the rail who was hitting it with me when I was injured.   Neither of us got the chance to clean the rail due to leaving early to go to the ER.

I will healing over the next month or so.   My next doctor appointment is on January 18 when I will find out when I’ll be back on skis.  I have seen two doctors in the past three days and so far healing is progressing on schedule.  I expect to be cleared to ski without any problem and to be back on the slopes on January 19.  See you then!
